A highly reputable SEN alternative provision school group is seeking a dedicated and qualified SEN Teacher to join their exceptional team at the Thrapston site. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate educator to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

The SEN Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized education to students with a range of special educational needs. This role requires a deep understanding of SEN practices, a creative approach to teaching, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of each student.

*Assess, monitor, and record the progress of students, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and relevant professionals.

*Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

*Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports the emotional and social development of students.

*Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

*Collaborate with colleagues, external agencies, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student.

*Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

*Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an alternative provision setting.

*Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

*Effective classroom management skills and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.

*A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration.
