We have a greatopportunity for an enthusiastic, committed, and professional Civilian DentalPractitioner (CDP) to join our Primary Health Care team here at dental centre Larkhill, The Packway, Salisbury, SP4 8QY. You may be required to travel to other local dental centres if required.

This role isa fixed-term appointment until 31st March 2025 (with possible extension until 13th January 2026), offering 37 hours per week, however, requests to work flexibly and/or part-time will be considered, taking into account business needs. The salary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job

A CDP isresponsible for providing clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dentalhealth and operational fitness of service personnel.

Within yourcontracted 37 weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed to nonclinical activitiesincluding practice meetings, training, and personal administration.

Overall, youraim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk for whom you areresponsible.

Duties andresponsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

Inspectingall personnel for whom they are responsible at intervals in line with theNational Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines and providing followup treatment as required. Workcollaboratively with professional colleagues and in the best interest ofpatients. Ensuringthat surgery management, documentation including consumable stores, the safe custody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance of equipment is alwayskept to a high standard. Onwardreferral of personnel to enhanced practitioners, specialists, or consultantsfor treatment as appropriate

This is a Fixed-term Appointment as a Civilian Dental Practitioner in theLarkhill Dental Centre. Your responsibilities will be as described in this jobadvert. This post will therefore begin on your appointment and end on 31/03/2025 . You should be aware that when your Fixed-term Appointment at MODcomes to an end, arrangements will be made in line with the FTA policy.

If you are a permanent MoD civil servant and are found successful for anadvertised Fixed-term Appointment (FTA) you should move into the post under aTemporary Transfer (for up to a maximum of 3 years). At the end of the postingyou will return to your previous MoD Business area. If this posting is at ahigher grade, your promotion will be temporary, and you will return to yoursubstantive grade at the end of the Temporary Transfer.
