WHAT TO EXPECT

A development opportunity has come to support the existing improvement project for Pre-treatment / Electrocoat facility within Halewood Paint Operations. The team is looking for a time served skilled mechanical / electrical Maintenance associate to develop the future process and facility improvements that will sustain the financial investment within the scope of the project.

This role will provide for both Maintenance and Operator support to develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing production processes, facilities and automation to achieve Production Volume and Quality targets. You will be part of a small team providing maintenance and technical support including preventative maintenance, and facility performance improvement.

As a Skilled Associate, you will be looking to identify a redefined suite of efficient process and maintenance activities. The role requires collaboration across functions such as ME, Production, Process Engineering, as well as key partner stakeholders within Paint Operations.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Laboratory tests, solids, pH, conductivity, film build, throw tubes and all plant parameter checks. Work with maintenance to perform paint tank transfer during shut down, critical for system cleanliness and performance of material.  Added involvement with the overhauling of system pumps and motors on E-coat and Pre-treat Phosphate plants (x 40 pumps). Work with engineering on problem solving, issues / breakdown resolution and projects deliverables. Competent to carry out repairs outside of production hours to reduce MTBR. Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of auto dosing Resin and Pigment. Inspection, identification and diversion of line stop bodies to correct locations within lane strips.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Indentured/modern apprenticeship or minimum level 3 in Mechanical /Electrical. Good data/analytical skills. Need understanding of chemistry within the phosphate and e-coat. Experience of carrying out laboratory tests, analysing results and determining next steps.
