Job Description

The successful candidate will work as part of the Accounts Payable team to process invoices and credit notes, prepare employee expenses and supplier payments, respond to supplier queries on a timely basis and assist with the month-end process.

About The Role

  •    Providing leadership for the Accounts Payable Team, ensuring attention to detail and time management is maintained in the execution of tasks.

  •   Providing cover for Accounts Payable Supervisor.

  •   Working to tight month-end deadlines.

  • Completing month-end processes and preparing month end reports.

  •   Assisting in processing Supplier Payments.

  •   Reviewing and actioning open payments on supplier accounts, GRNI reports and posting proposals on a regular basis.

  • Assisting with investigating and implementing process improvements within the Accounts Payable Function.

  •   Processing purchase invoices/credit notes through IFS purchase ledger.

  •    Obtaining copies of Proof of Delivery from suppliers, matching to invoices, and querying with store personnel.

  •   Querying purchase invoices and distributing to relevant persons to resolve.

  • Completing reconciliation of month-end supplier statements to the Purchase Ledger.

  •  Dealing with supplier queries and leading supplier meetings.

  •    Sorting daily electronic invoices received from suppliers through Readsoft.

  •    Setting up new supplier accounts.

  •   Assisting in the completion of CIS returns monthly.

  •   Analysing and processing Staff Expenses. Dealing with any related queries and reviewing for compliance with policies.

  •  Analysing and processing company credit card transactions.

  •  Any other duties which may, from time to time, be reasonably required within the role.

Desired Criteria

Required Criteria

  • Minimum 3 years working in Accounts Payable.
  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent
