Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a well-respected and successful client in Polar Park.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to additional security checks required for this role, successful applicants MUST have lived in the UK for the last 5 years, with 3 years full UK history.

What’s on offer:

  • Rate of Pay: £11.44 per hour
  • Shifts available: Between 8 (depending on the requirement)
  • Shift Pattern: 4 ON / 2 OFF
  • Weekly Pay (every Friday)
  • Full training provided
  • Temp to Perm (performance-based)

Key Duties:

  • Accurately picking items from warehouse stock as per order sheet.
  • Wrapping orders securely for despatch.
  • Operate all equipment, as per training, to meet hygiene, health, and safety expectations.
  • Physical tasks include check cages, high lifts, fork lifts, stocking up pushing, pulling, lifting 20kg-30kg (linens/toiletries).
  • Assuring the proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Security checking of the trollies and reporting any findings as per your training.

UNIFORM STANDARDS

  • Composite safety boots must be worn at all times.
  • You must wear a Hi-vis vest at all times.
  • Dark trousers and Dark t-shirt/ polo shirt. (Black or Navy Blue). Strictly no ripped jeans or hooded tops.

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 2 off rolling rota and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work. This could be subject to change

Start Date: ASAP

An example of the shift hours:

  • 07:00AM-15:00PM/07:00AM-15:00PM/07:00AM-15:00PM/OFF/OFF (Which could be subject to change due to operational needs)


Requirements:

  • Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card.
  • This role requires you to stand for long periods of time (8 hours).
  • UK Settled Status (If applicable).
  • Proof of National Insurance.
  • Proof of (current) Address.
  • 5 Year Address History.
  • 5 Year Work Reference History.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following the interview in line with CAA requirements.


Please note: As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.
