WHAT AWAITS YOU?

• The Metrology Engineer will provide specialist metrology leadership to the Hams Hall plant, this will include ensuring all metrology activities are planned, optimised and carried out in an efficient manner.
• Using your attention to detail you will ensure that high standards of accuracy and precision are met that surpass quality standards and customer requirements.
• With a focus on problem solving you will ensure a timely and robust resolution of measurements systems and methods problems.
• Inspection of supplier parts is an important part of the role to ensure they are compliant with design and drawing specifications.
• Providing specialist measurement support you will be required to deliver a measurement service provision including designing measurement strategies and specialist measurement programs to the shop floor.
• You will be required to ensure that associates are trained and coached appropriately.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (e.g. HNC).
• IT literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) etc. is beneficial.
• Specialist technical knowledge of measurement equipment processes, equipment and facilities.
• Familiar with either Adcol, Zeiss and Renishaw facilities would be an advantage. 
• Technical knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes.
• Capable of statistical analysis is required.
