BAM Ritchies of BAM UK&I require a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnical Engineering department of their business. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer you will be planning and leading the safe, technically excellent delivery of geotechnical works on a varying range of projects across the UK.

Your work environment

  • This position can be based either in the Southwest or Southeast of England. You will be required to travel across the UK to support other projects.

Your mission

  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding the progress of the project and relevant developments

  • Supervision & management of the safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works’ to an excellent technical standard

  • Supervise & mentor the project team as appropriate to develop others

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client, the supply chain and third parties

  • Maintain high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on site

  • Monitoring of project costs & reporting change both internally and to the Client

  • Awareness of project and business goals and able to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement with business

Who are we looking for?

Required

  • Experience in delivering geotechnical works’ (piling, soil nailing, ground anchors, grouting etc)

  • competence at management and supervision of project teams

  • communication skills both written and verbal at all levels
