The Role
As a Finance Bookkeeper, you will thrive on precision and organisation, bringing your expertise to a dynamic hotel environment. Your role is vital in maintaining meticulous financial records, expertly managing accounts payable and receivable, and delivering crucial financial insights that drive informed decision-making within the hotel, ensuring our financial success and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the hotel ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow, recording daily transactions, including revenue, expenses, and adjustments
• Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's budget and provide regular financial reports to management, highlighting variances and financial trends
• Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and verify and record employee hours, bonuses, and deductions
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement
• Provide insights to management on financial performance and recommend strategies for improvement
• Prepare and submit necessary financial reports and tax filings
• Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information and communicate effectively with management, providing financial insights and recommendations 

Required Skills & Experience 

• AAT or CIMA qualification
• Hospitality experience required 
• Experience in a similar role with significant experience working in a fast paced and challenging environment
• A proven track record of delivering results together with an ability to plan, prioritise and juggle multiple work streams and projects whilst working to strict deadlines
• Experience of accounting software (Xero preferred) 
• Experience with Harri (HR Platform) 
• Experience of working with PMS and POS systems (Oracle and Micros preferred)
