  • Toad Hall Nursery was established in 1998. Our beautiful, purpose built 109 place nursery in Woking is close to bus routes and the train station is just over 2 miles away. There is a local supermarket and a coffee house which are a 10 minute walk from the nursery. This spacious setting is located next to Goldsworth Park and lake where you can take a stroll during your lunch break. There is free parking outside the nursery.   • Our 41 place nursery, has good transport options and local shops close by. The nursery was originally built by the Countess of Meath due to the overcrowding of the existing village school, and closed in 1967 when the building was turned into a restaurant. We promote a home-from-home feel within the setting and work closely as a team, with an OFSTED rating of ‘Good’

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard.
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required.
  • Being involved in the recruitment of staff, including but not limited to, shortlisting, interviewing and observing safer recruitment practices.
  • Assisting in the effective use of social media and other marketing activities as required.
  • Fulfilling the role of key person to an exemplary standard, providing a positive role model for team members.
  • Having lots of fun

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities.
  • To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
  • A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
