We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Music to join our vibrant team at a well-regarded high school in Darwen. Our school is dedicated to fostering a love for music and providing students with the skills and opportunities to excel in their musical endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire and engage students with a varied and dynamic music curriculum.
  • Prepare students for performances, exams, and extracurricular activities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the music department and school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Music or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching music at secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the music curriculum and exam specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for music and education, with the ability to inspire students.
