Mechanical Design Estimator

As an industry-leading company in fluid technology, we're continuously growing and now have the opportunity to expand our team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Estimator to operate from our head office in Quedgeley, Gloucester.

The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced and enthusiastic offsite sales team with the following primary measures of success:

• Quotations completed on time
• Response times to customers
• Accuracy of costings.

Responsibilities will include:

• Fielding inbound enquiries via email and phone, as well as entering the details on to the CRM system
• Carrying out take-offs on projects from schematics and other design information
• Specifying appropriate systems according to customer requirements
• Contacting supply chain for quotations
• Creating quotations and supporting documents as necessary
• Working with the team to prepare and deliver handover documents to project team.

Hours of work:

Mon - Fri 7:45am - 4:45pm (30 minute lunch break) with some degree of flexibility if required.

Requirements

Principal Skills and Attributes

• Self-motivated, tenacious, driven to succeed and results oriented
• Previous experience in mechanical estimating in HVAC advantageous
• Having a natural eye for detail and ability to keep well organised records
• Able to work under pressure to meet or exceed customer deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable in networking with internal and external contacts
• Friendly demeanour that can build relationships easily, with a can-do attitude and able to operate as part of a wider team
• Technical aptitude, able to build and retain industry and product-specific knowledge
• Excellent organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
