**We need a Midsenior (5 years) Datascientist with experience to Develop test deploy and help monitoranalytics products and predictive models including data engineeringdata analysis and AI/ML/NLP. Candidates must have a goodunderstanding of SQL Databases and the SQL Programming Language SQLServer/Oracle and including programming in TSQL PL/SQL or the likeas well as IntermediatetoAdvanced level programming

This position requires improving and supportingour applications infrastructure writing code analyzing datacreating models creating adhoc apps/reports/dashboards working withboth internal and external customers participating in projectmanagement and execution and leading small individual and teamprojects. Key functions include but are not limited to thefollowing:

• Develop test deploy andhelp monitor analytics products and predictive models includingdata engineering data analysis and AI/ML/NLP.
• Service the analytical needs of internal and externalcustomers by providing highvalue analysis reports dashboards and/orelectronic files as needed.
• Execute andparticipate in leading highvalue data science projects includingdefining project deliverables estimating timelines estimatingexpected business value assigning project tasks and ensuringefficient execution and proper documentation from ideation throughbusiness integration.
• Help implement automatedsolutions to monitor and maintain the performance of the teamsanalytical products. Identify when model retraining or newsolutions are needed.
• Design and executewelldocumented experiments to identify novel uses of internal andexternal data to deliver business value.
• Keepup to date with AI and ML best practices as relates to MECsinitiatives and share key insights with the team.
• Help design evangelize and continuously improve groupbest practices.
• Conduct formal peer reviews ofdata science projects from other team members.
• Work on crossfunctional teams within MEC and across thelarger corporation to develop and implement novel analytics anddata science solutions.
• Provide mentorship tojunior team members.
• Create and deliverpresentations to internal and external customers asneeded.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Advanced degree in data sciencecomputer science mathematics statistics engineering physics orother sciences (or college degree with significant technicalexperience in a corporate setting).
• Educationshould include significant work in advanced mathematics statisticsand/or data science.
• Undergraduate or graduatework in computer science is a plus.
• Requires 4to 7 years of business experience as a data scientist or in arelated field.
• Possesses an intense curiosityand determination to explore and solve complex business problemsutilizing data technology and analytical techniques.
• Ability to multitask and manage assigned work under verytight deadlines.
• Advanced understanding of avariety of statistical and machine learning algorithms.
• IntermediatetoAdvanced understanding of natural languageprocessing.
• History of following datavisualization best practices.
• History offollowing coding best practices.
• Experience inbreaking projects down into deliverables setting timelines andproviding accurate status reports to management.
• Significant experience working with large databases foranalytical purposes. This would include both transactional systemsand data warehouse systems.
• IntermediatetoAdvanced level understanding of SQLDatabases and the SQL Programming Language SQL Server/Oracle andincluding programming in TSQL PL/SQL or the like.
• IntermediatetoAdvanced level programming experience withPython and/or R.
• Knowledge of informationtechnology practices related to data data warehousing ETL processesand data mining.
• Understanding of projectmanagement practices and approaches including waterfall and Agilemethodologies and experience with project management software suchas Microsoft Team Foundation Server Jira Trello etc.
• Experience with code management (version control)techniques utilizing tools such as Microsoft Team Foundation ServerGitHub etc.
• Intermediate experience with UNIXand Docker.
• Excellent listening andinterpersonal skills.
• Experience working in ateamoriented collaborative environment.
• Occasional evening and weekend work to meetdeadlines.
