GSL Education Kent are currently seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a renowned school in Dartford starting immediately.

With a focus on building both academic and life skills, this school supports students in developing a well-rounded education, critical thinking, and a love for learning. As a Teacher of English, you will play an instrumental role in guiding students on their educational journey within this vibrant community.

Responsibilities
As a Teacher of English, your role will include:

  • Delivering engaging and inspiring lessons in English to students across Key Stages, helping them to develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Planning and preparing lessons in accordance with the curriculum, adapting as necessary to suit students’ varying abilities and interests.
  • Assessing and evaluating student progress, providing feedback to help them achieve academic targets.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate and engage with English literature and language.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and enriching learning experience for all students.

Requirements
To be successful in the role of English Teacher, you will need:

  • Holding QTS or equivalent such as QTLS, PGCE is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English or a relevant field.
  • Previous experience working as an English Teacher is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster enthusiasm for English among students.
  • A proactive and adaptable teaching style, with a commitment to providing quality education.
