Job summary

immunology and Allergy Band 6 - Secondment or fixed term Opportunity

Epsom and St Helier Immunology and Allergy department are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated individual who is keen to work in the field of immunology and allergy.

The post holder will assist with many specialist tests, undertake patient assessments and eventually train to run their own nurse led clinics within this specialised department.

The post holder will be based at St Helier Hospital but may be required to support immunology and allergy activity elsewhere.

You will join a small team of nurses and consultants covering a very large demographic of patients undertaking face to face and virtual assessments including skin prick testing, blood tests, follow up patient competency assessments and food and drug allergy testing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a registered adult nurse to further develop their portfolio by gaining a very unique skillset within this field.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate in interventions within the immunology / allergy areathat will maintain and improve standards of care and promote a seamless servicewithin a multi-professional will be achieved through clinical practise, management, education, researchaudit and professional activities taking into account directorate and corporateobjectives and within the clinical governance training will be provided to enable the post holder to gain the competenciesnecessary to assist in the delivery of infection immunotherapy and other associatedduties.
