Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate HLTA to join our team at Teaching Personnel. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our teachers and enhancing the learning experience for our students.

A Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will add further support to children in a classroom setting. This comes with added responsibility compared to a Teaching Assistant.

 

As a HLTA you’ll be expected to:

-          Have experience as a Teaching Assistant.

-          (May be) required to teach pre-planned lessons to classes on their own at times. This may be due to preplanned absences such as allowing Teachers to plan and mark.

-          Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

-          Support the assessment and tracking of student’s progress.

-          Support children on a 1-1 basis.

Requirements:

-         HLTA qualification or equivalent.

-         Previous experience working as a HLTA or in a similar role within a school setting.

-         Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational best practices.

-         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-         Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

-         A genuine passion for supporting students and enhancing their educational experience.

-         Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
