Unleash the magic of mail with Royal Mail’s Marketreach

Direct mail combines creativity and commercial focus to powerful effect. It engages consumers, builds relationships, and boosts the bottom line for businesses. Marketreach shows brands and agencies how mail can work its magic.

We have a great opportunity to work in Business to Business (B2B) Sales within Royal Mail Group, one of the countries’ most iconic brands. In this exciting and challenging role, you’ll be part of the Marketreach Letters Sales Team. Working in this highly competitive market, you’ll help clients deliver their business objectives using our channels, protecting and growing Royal Mail Group revenues.

Enhance your Direct Marketing knowledge and B2B sales skills with Royal Mail Group, and work across a range of industry sectors and major clients in the advertising and communications market to create winning and breakthrough deals.

About the Role
As a B2B Direct Mail Media Specialist based in the south of England, you’ll develop a portfolio of Letters customers to retain and grow volumes and revenues, utilising your knowledge of your clients, their markets, Direct Mail, the Letters marketplace, and other complimentary insight.

You’ll also work to open-up and develop new opportunities for mail with brand new customers who are new to our channel.

As a senior member of our Marketreach Sales Team, along with other Direct Mail Media Specialists, you’ll work closely with our Media and Data Planning and Business Development teams. You’ll also liaise with channel partners, agencies, and key stakeholders to meet and exceed business targets. You’ll focus on Letter Sales, identifying market and client situations that create opportunity and risk for Letters. You’ll develop wide ranging relationships that help client organisations understand how Letters can work alongside their other communication and media channels to help deliver business objectives.

About You
Eager to take on the challenge of working for a business of Royal Mail Group’s size and reputation, you’ll have a good knowledge of Direct Mail and/or Direct Marketing, a strong record in B2B sales, and excellent influencing skills. You’ll also have a good working knowledge of the Letters and Direct Mail industry. You’ll be used to working at board level within large and complex organisations and be able to demonstrate evidence of driving exciting opportunities that grow and develop business.

With a genuine passion for true business development, you’ll enjoy working in a challenging and fast paced environment. Key to the role is the ability to plan your approach effectively, managing a balanced portfolio of opportunities whilst being commercially shrewd, with a challenger attitude that is focused on getting the best deal for Royal Mail Group, as well as developing and driving forward the Royal Mail offering. A tertiary education in Business Studies or similar is beneficial.

Develop and grow these skills with Royal Mail Group and work with major brands across a variety of industries using market leading propositions to support your pitches. With a great package and room to develop – this really is a first-class opportunity.
