Our General Insurance team are currently recruiting for a Solicitor with experience in litigated motor claims to join the team in Scotland.

The role can be based from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement with 2 or 3 days working from the office and 2 or 3 days from home.

About the role

As a solicitor, your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring, in conjunction with the partner and associates, that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice. Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices

About you

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Post-qualification experience in motor litigation Experience of working within a busy commercial environment, handling a varied caseload Strong technical and commercial expertise, including a thorough grasp of principles and case law The ability to develop new skills and to use your initiative, with the support of an experienced team Strong communication skills and attention to detail
