SEN Teaching Assistant 

This inclusive school located in the town of Darwen caters for individuals with special educational needs. The school is committed to providing outstanding opportunities and excellent teaching and support for all of its students to ensure they excel the best they possibly can.

Are you a passionate, proactive individual who can provide tailored, quality support to pupils? As a SEN teaching assistant your role is to provide the highest quality care and support to the pupils, this may include personal care, supporting their learning on a 1:1 or small group scenario, providing general classroom support and helping with social and day to day life skills.

Key Information 

  • Full-time hours Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30 pm).
  • Experience working as a carer or support worker is required.
  • No previous school or education experience required.
  • Competitive hourly rate of pay £12.90 + based on experience and additional duties.
  • Darwen based (BB2)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
