Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will work closely with the local management team and key stakeholders from across the Motor business, as well as the Retail management team and Bank’s wider finance team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of FP&A and Finance Business Partner, the role will be responsible for shaping and delivery of; management information including both the UK and CFCI management accounts, internal reporting requirements and cost management / tracking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of month end results detailing expected performance for both the Bank and local Motor management teams
  • Delivery of monthly reporting packs, outlining key financial performance metrics to Motor Management
  • Business partner with senior stakeholders to create cost budgets, monitor actual spend and help to identify cost saving opportunities, efficiencies and potential risks
  • Support the Finance Business Partner with sales analysis
  • Provide timely commentary and variance analysis to support understanding of financial performance against budgets, forecasts and prior year
  • Draft communications to investor relations relating to Motor’s performance, including gathering supporting evidence
  • Partner with the Operations, Sales, Marketing and other functions, helping them to understand and control key cost drivers

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF ARE/HAVE:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in technical aspects of accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Confident in working with senior stakeholders
  • Engaging communication style and the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-finance colleagues
  • Professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU ARE/HAVE:

  • Excel modelling experience
  • Experience of the Financial Services or Automotive sectors
