Job description

Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 night or day drivers to join our team.

This is on a Temp cover basis to cover multiple clients needs this could be anything from 1 day booking to 1 week etc covering Wakefield, Sheffield, Rotherham areas

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class1 vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery details
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and inspection reports
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Valid Class1 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and customer service skills

Please note that all positions at our company are paid positions, including internships.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 60 per week
