We have a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our team at our EDF Bridgwater site.

In this customer focussed role, you will be responsible for the daily formulation of the transport plan for the contract, effectively scheduling dedicated fleet around the HPC delivery networks.

This is a hybrid role and may require travel to other sites, including HPC.

Day to Day   

Planning dedicated sub-contractor fleet around the HPC requirements and supplier timelines  Work closely with the Material Forecasting team to assist long term planning  Support AIL and lifting requirements through coaching, developing and communication with colleagues  Lead Continuous Improvement across the Transport/Logistics department to maximise productivity and minimise costs of unused loads/space  Ensuring all contract KPI’s and reports are met and produced Ensuring all work allocated to correct vehicles each day in a timely manner. Building economical loads for the network from both a trunking perspective and for onward delivery Making changes to the delivery locations when required, working with HPC site and Operations teams Processing and analysing telematics data 

What will you bring?  

Route planning experience is essential Advanced experience in using Microsoft Excel to analyse data from a variety of resources (essential) An understanding of logistics and transport networks is essential Excellent attention to detail and good geographical knowledge Key to this role are good communication and an ability to react quickly to what is a fast-changing environment.  Must have a flexible approach and be willing to carry out varied tasks positively, reliably and accurately An excellent team player and able to work on own initiative
