Kier Highways Solutions (KHS) provides a one-stop-shop end to end works management and delivery capability from carriageway treatment design, product manufacture, installation, temporary traffic management through to small civils works, patching & road markings. What will you be responsible for?

As a General Manager, you'll be working within the senior leadership team, supporting them by leading the teams across our Kier Highway Solutions business to deliver the requirements of the contracts and our clients, focusing on delivering high quality specialist surfacing solutions, manufacturing of highway bituminous emulsions from our factory at Wymondham, and our 12D traffic management business.

 

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies, delivering the business plan, achieving financial targets and ensuring profitable growth of the business
  • Producing budgets and forecasts for the business
  • Supporting the Work Winning team in securing new contracts, promoting the wellbeing of your team and ensuring that an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, background and experience is actively encouraged and achieved
  • Working with internal and external clients to identify effective use of resources and budgets
  • Leading, participating and implementing in business improvement projects in support of the KHS business and the wider Kier business, planning objectives, analysing business performance, presenting alternative solutions, and making recommendations

  • You have experience managing high performing operational teams, with great leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety practices
  • Commercial and contractual awareness and knowledge of modern forms of contract with a good background in asset management / professional services
