Role Summary

At Ocado Retail, the Ecommerce Sales Executive, working in conjunction with the Sales Manager, has responsibility for the development and execution of Ocado Retail sales strategy workstreams. This individual will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of company-wide programmes positioned to achieve Customer team and Ocado sales growth objectives.

The role requires self-management across multiple projects and concurrent workstreams, analysing performance and helping to prepare commercial recommendations designed to accelerate sales growth, whilst continuing to exceed our customer’s expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Working with teams across Customer (Performance and Brand Marketing, Merchandising) and Trading, as well as colleagues across Ocado Retail, to ensure sales contribution from key channels and customer cohorts meet growth forecasts. Monitor and contribute to customer sales forecasts, in collaboration with analysts, considering customer behaviour and influential internal and external factors. Close collaboration and coordination with Ocado Retail and Ocado Logistics with a focus on short-term demand planning, ensuring optimum slot availability for customers and efficiency of our Marketing investment. Coordinate project plans for upcoming trading periods and seasonal moments, for example Christmas trading. Delivering against key milestones and management of project plans for workstreams within the wider customer sales strategy, with support from senior executives and managers. Scoping, manipulating and interpreting detailed analysis, reporting and research to effectively track sales KPI performance vs targets and present proposed actions, commercial recommendations and support identification of new opportunities. Buddy and train new or junior team members, as appropriate.


Desired Skills & Experience

Experience in ecommerce, retail, FMCG or other growth businesses (minimum 1-2 years), ideally in a customer-centric and/or strategic function. Strong and regular user of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and application to business modelling Minimum 2:1 degree from a good university Passion for food or ecommerce advantageous
