Park Green Surgery requirea Salaried GP to work in a long-established, successful surgery with excellentsupport in South Kirkby, Pontefract. The PMS Practice works from a spacious,modern surgery providing a stimulating working environment and affords patientcontinuity to achieve high-quality care outcomes. Actively involved with thePCN to provide enhanced integrated services within the community.

Main duties of the job

To work as an autonomouspractitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practicepopulation, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complyingwith the PMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMCstandards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective managementof the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborativeworking relationship with the multidisciplinary team. The practice has weeklyMDT meetings to encourage team working.

About us

Key information 6-8 sessions aweek. Practice population circa 11,000 patients. Friendly and cohesive team of 4 GPs, 3 ANPs and Home Visiting Nurse. Excellent Management and support teamensure the practice is well organised and structured. In-house ClinicalPharmacist. In-house Home Visiting Matron. PCN ARR staff include ClinicalPharmacists, First Contact Physio and Paramedic. SystmOne. Key Benefits Salarynegotiable dependant on experience - minimum £10,000. Job responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities The following are the core responsibilities ofthe salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out othertasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffinglevels:

a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitledpopulation.

b. The provision of services commensurate with the PMS contract andPrimary Care Network.

c. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.

d. Effective management of long-term conditions in line with QOFrequirements.

e. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals,repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks.

f. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctorroles.

g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice,policy and guidance.

h. Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practiceworkload, including filing test results, home visits and rotational on calls.

i. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines andthe audit process.

j. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvementand quality initiatives within the practice.

k. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or theQOF.

l. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required.

m. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process.

n. Prepare and complete the revalidation process.

o. Commit to self-learning and instill an ethos of continuingprofessional development across the practice team.

p. Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice,making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.

q. Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times.

r. Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly,promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times.

Secondary Responsibilities In addition to the primary responsibilities,the salaried GP may be requested to: a. Participate in practice audits asrequested by the audit lead b. Participate in local initiatives to enhanceservice delivery and patient care c. Participate in the review of significantand near-miss events applying a structured approach root cause analysis(RCA)
