Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated enthusiastic individual to workas the named Professional for Safeguarding Adults within Navigo's SafeguardingTeam
Thesuccessful post holder will be pivotal in supporting staff and safeguardingservice users in our care
Specificresponsibility of the role will be to act as lead for safeguarding adult atrisk issues across Navigo working closely with multiple agencies in settingreviewing and developing protocols of care and safe management of adults atrisk
Thepost holder will act as a local expert and have an enhanced knowledge andexperience of the Care Act, MentalHealth Act, MentalCapacity Act, TheDeprivation of Liberty Safeguards, HumanRights Act and the PREVENT agenda

Main duties of the job
Thepost holder will work closely with the named Nurse for Children's safeguardingto provide the strategic leadership on all aspects of safeguarding withinNavigo and contribute to the design and implementation of the SafeguardingAdults and Children's Strategies within the health and care partnership
Thepostholder will have proven excellent communication skills for delivering keymessages to a range of stakeholders at senior level and skills in conveyingcomplex concepts utilising a variety of mediums
Youwill be educated to Degree level in Social Work or Nursing, ideally having aMasters level qualification or prepared to undertake MA MSc in Health andSocial Care or related subject and be a member of a professional body such asHCPC or NMC
Notexhaustive but we are looking for the following personal attributes

Job description
Job responsibilities
Thiscorporate role is pivotal in leading development and implementation ofsafeguarding and public protection across Navigo. Using national and localguidelines you will establish safeguarding within the organisation and developstrategies that are appropriate within Navigo. Your role will incorporateaudit, devising, supporting and sharing action plans and the embedding oflessons learnt across the organisation.
Asthe post-holder you will provide effective multi-agency liaison and training onsafeguarding adults, domestic abuse, Prevent, Multi Agency Public ProtectionMAPPA, advocacy and anti-social behaviour. You will work collaboratively withthe Safeguarding Boards for Adults and Children and Navigo named Doctors. Youwill provide clinical leadership and advice to various multi-disciplinaryprofessionals.
Youwill lead Navigo's clinical and managerial staff in performing theirsafeguarding and public protection responsibilities giving advice to staff andescalating concerns between relevant agencies. You will be required to provideeffective feedback and support to and from safeguarding meetings and forums andprovide assurance to Navigo's Board and external agencies working withingNavigo's operational services in the promotion and understanding ofsafeguarding human rights and public protection, service users and theirfamilies.

Essential
Professional qualification in Social Work, Nursing, Psychologist, Medical or Occupational Therapy Study or equivalent experience at masters level Highly developed specialist knowledge of safeguarding required, gained over a number of years equivalent to master's level - this can be achieved via Postgraduate level qualification or experience in safeguarding or mental health - learning disability Safeguarding Children Level four Safeguarding Adults Level four Supervision Training or Qualification Prevent training level three MAPPA and ASB training & knowledge Leadership Training or Qualification Safeguarding Supervision training

European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent Presentation and training qualification BIA or advocacy qualification

Managing the safeguarding of adults, children, public protection, prevent and domestic abuse in clinical practice Management experience Court attendance and report writing Working in an advisory and leadership capacity to others Clinical and managerial supervision of other clinicians or staff on a group or individual basis Liaising and networking with other agencies and internal services Delivering information to small and large groups Leadership experience High level experience working with Prevent and the risk of radicalisation Report writing for example- court reports police witness statements serious case reviews Root Cause Analysis Developing and delivering training programmes Reviewing other people court reports statements and management reports
