This role works as part of the Terminal Operations team assisting in the handling of high and heavy and break bulk cargo.


Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Carry out and conduct various lift operations using necessary equipment. Carry out general fork lift duties up to ton. Act as a slinger/banksman as and when required. Loading/unloading/unlashing mafi cargo. Assist with crane lifting operations in line with the supplied risk assessments and method statements. Scanning of cargo for services in iTOMS or associated IT programs. Ensure cargo is handled in accordance with WW and customers handling requirements. Operate plant machinery in line with regulations.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Previous experience in forklift operations (forklift license up to B3). Ability to work at height. Basic IT competency. Ability to problem solve. Excellent organisational skills. Good team player. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Full clean UK driving licence.

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE

Slinger Banskman. Knowledge of rules and regulations associated with SOPs, Risk Assessments and safe systems of work. Tug master operator. Previous experience/knowledge of bespoke lift operations.
