Estates and Campus Services supports the study and work of all students and staff through the provision of outstanding services that are customer focussed and professionally and sustainably delivered.

We are responsible for maintaining and developing the campuses buildings and grounds and the provision of customer led services such as campus security, student accommodation, catering, conferencing, nursery provision and sport.

Estates and Campus Services, a section of over 700 staff, is organised into twelve main operational areas and a number of central support functions. 

Duties of the Role

We are looking for a building craftsperson to undertake an interesting mix of reactive maintenance across the University’s campuses to ensure the continued provision of world class teaching, research and learning.

You will work closely with all the members of the Building Team and a number of external contractors and preferred suppliers to ensure day to day repairs are undertaken in a timely fashion with minimum disruption to departments.

Skills and qualifications required

The University is seeking an individual with the relevant experience and qualifications to undertake this role. You will also need to be an excellent communicator, team player and have an awareness of relevant health and safety regulations.

This is a brand new position, established to provide support to the existing staff within the team.
