Data Activation & Measurement Lead - Measurement & Media
Location: Woking, UK
Reporting to: Senior Data & CRM Manager
Job Function: Digital Transformation:
Job Purpose
- Developing and implementing comprehensive measurement frameworks to assess the efficiency of media and first-party data strategies across various channels. It entails establishing a pan-European media and digital commerce data measurement strategy and driving future opportunities for Colgate-Palmolive's data platforms and commerce ecosystems for both consumer and B2B initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with audience science, data measurement, analytics, and media performance metrics
- Ability to translate data into actionable strategies
- Technical skills combined with strong communication attributes
- Strategic thinker passionate about data and audience science
- Consistent track record in optimizing media investments and ecommerce strategies
- Comfortable working with big data
- Ability to manage relationships and connect with key collaborators across the business
What you will do:
- Serve as a translator to business decision makers
- Define business problems that measurement and analytics can help tackle, specifically passionate about end to end channel measurement and modeling
- Develop strategy, establish criteria and lead the end to end deployment of measurement and analytics projects
- Hands-on experience and development of Predictive and Machine learning models to address business challenges
- Experience with extracting, cleaning, and redefining data for building data science models
- Drive creation of measurement and analytics roadmaps, assess project feasibility, business impact, and scope to prioritize projects
- Communicate technical concepts & information to a non technical audience in a clear & compelling manner
- Coordinate with cross functional teams across Europe to implement models and supervise outcomes
- Partner with IT to align on data architecture, data infrastructure, tools and technologies
- Lead data visualization across vital platforms (e.g. Tableau, Data Studio, Domo) to simplify & automate data sharing outcomes
- Establish and automate vital business models and reporting passionate about end to end measurement and data led storytelling for partners
- Dedicate time and opportunity to Gen AI opportunities in the data space
Building Capabilities and Best Practices
- As part of the Division digital leadership team, this role leads integration of sophisticated digital end to end industry trends, interprets and educates these to others
- Establish a deep understanding of digital programs and facilitate the company’s digital knowledge
- Automate and drive sophisticated usage of Gen AI in digital analytics practices
Key proficiencies
- Lead performance metric evaluation in partnership with Customer Experience, Engagement Teams, Analytics & Insights, Marketing and global metrics groups
- Ensure significant critical metric evaluation and the integration of data driven digital marketing and optimization practices for constant improvement
- Partner with ecosystem teams to lead experience and performance testing of brand experience, digital content and journeys
- Work closely with commercial Division and hub Europe teams to identify measurement and analytical projects and opportunities in partnership with the measurement and analytics specialist
- Display a growth mindset & “can do” attitude
- Strong sense of accountability for the delivery/timeline of key initiatives and projects
- Comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrating capability to thrive with minimal oversight and navigate refined processes
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to share data science standard methodologies and apply learning

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
- At least 5 years in applied in Media measurement/Data analytics/Data science and quantitative programming
- At least 2 years of professional experience leading teams
- Proficiency with SQL
- Proficiency with Python or R; experience with sophisticated machine learning techniques, causal inference, and statistical modeling
- Experience with Data Visualization tools like Google Data Studio, DOMO, Power BI and Tableau
- Experience with customer analytics
- Experience with cloud environments (Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform) and SAP
- Understanding of data architecture and data engineering, and ML ops

- Marketing Operations: Drive people, processes and technologies for the US business. Partner in strategy and digital marketing guidelines to capture/share examples. Integrate and lead planning, content strategy and development, web analytics and web technologies.
- Evaluation and Analytics: Performs tool evaluation and integration for US digital data and implementation. Analysis of US digital content and brand equity implementation and suggests strategy and improvements.
