Consultant Surgeon in Dermatology

The post holder will be a member of the Specialist Medicine Directorate in BHRUT and will be part of the consultant team that will deliver Dermatology services across BHRUT.
The post holder is expected to possess membership of the Royal College of Physicians or to have equivalent qualifications.
To be on GMC specialist register at the time of taking up the post and have obtained the MRCP Renal certification is desirable.
The post-holder is expected to share in-patient commitments with the existing full-time Dermatologists to provide an acute in-patient referral service 52 weeks a year.
The post holder will have secretarial support and an adequately equipped office, including IT facilities.
The post-holder is actively encouraged to participate in service-development and clinical-governance activities, in addition to clinical and educational supervision of junior trainees.
In conjunction with the other Dermatologists the postholder will contribute to the overall organisation and planning of the service and will be supported by the team.
Main duties of the job
Queen's Hospital has a highly regarded, active, established surgical and Mohs micrographic surgery service that has been developed over many years with leading UK dermatologic surgeons at the helm. An energetic and enthusiastic colleague with an interest in Skin cancer and advanced Skin surgery is being sought with occasional clinics.
