Responsible for developing global supply strategies and managing overall performance of the supply chain to meet current and future customer demand, while aligning strategies and tactical activities with overall business strategies of the company. Objectives include providing high levels of customer service by managing supply to mitigate risks across the global product portfolio. This position will manage and support creation of the execution path to fulfil the business plan and enable commercial business units to meet financial targets. Incumbent will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing a staff of supply planners and inventory analysts supporting these objectives.
What will you be doing?
Create value by developing and delivering global supply strategies that meet the needs of customers and business objectives within each commercial business unit. Ensure alignment of end to end supply chain strategies that meet the needs of customers in each business unit and work collaboratively with others in the supply chain to align overall strategies for optimal business results as measured by customer service and inventory levels. Responsible for short and long term strategies that drive supply/demand match to meet customer service levels and generate a positive customer experience , working closely with supply chain demand management, procurement , operations, regulatory, quality and business unit sales and marketing teams. Lead supply reviews for all product families. Direct development of executable company-wide build plan to meet business unit product forecasts. Optimize global finished goods inventory levels utilizing statistical inventory techniques to develop target inventory levels for global finished goods inventories that maximize customer service levels and minimize total cost. Continuously improve supply management processes using consistent tools and processes along with customer feedback to develop and maintain efficient supply planning practices. Establish, maintain and develop a high performing team of supply planning and inventory management professionals, including recruiting, training, performance feedback, succession planning and coaching.What will you need to be successful?
Director level supply planning experience required Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skills. Strong leadership skills essential to effectively drive results across all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process. Demonstrated proficiency in master scheduling, rough-cut capacity planning, inventory planning, and materials management with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Good facilitation skills with the ability to operate effectively at all levels within the organization and foster collaboration and communication across diverse global and cross-functional teams. As a thought leader in new product planning, demonstrates the ability to envision technical and organizational solutions in this field. Strong time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently and to solve complex problems, applying expertise in business intelligence and data solutions to drive best practices and innovative solutions. Ability to adapt quickly to change and will champion the advancement of new information that will enhance the ability of management to lead the business. Knowledge of Supply/Capacity Planning or other software related to demand planning is preferred Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint Knowledge of ERP/ MRP, Forecast Models, Inventory Strategies, and Sales and Operations Planning Strong verbal and written communication skills
