Ward Clerk - Hours per week
Applications are invited for the post of ward clerk on the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Ward at the Friarage Hospital.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, confident person who can demonstrate excellent communication skills. They must have good organisational skills and an ability to work on his/her own initiative and be a good team player.
Main duties of the job
Candidates must be computer literate and experience of clerical duties and filing is essential.
They will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and they will have direct contact with patients, relatives and other members of the public. They will have reception duties and will be able to handle public enquiries.
This vacancy will close when we receive sufficient completed applications.

Education and Qualifcations
Essential criteria
GCSEs A-C or equivalent qualification / experience NVQ 2 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
Knowledge of hospital computer systems: CaMis, Theatre Man, PACS, Ice Web Medical Terminology
Knowledge and Skills

Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently Well developed computer skills

Previous experience of working in a clerical environment Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
It is now the policy of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost of their DBS.
