DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer, working on an interim basis on contract through our recruitment partner Morson, on a PAYE or Ltd Company basis for a period of around 6 months to support an increased workload within our Project Engineering team.

The role is based in Northwich, Cheshire at our Lostock site.
Key Responsibilities
  • To proactively observe and manage the daily activities of contract resources working on site to ensure projects are delivered to the optimum cost, quality and agreed timescales.
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are developed and maintained in accordance with CDM regulations, HSE and TCE safety regulations. This includes but is not limited to:-Project Safety File, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Permit to Work procedures and processes, Project Plan procedures & Safety Audits in order to ensure that accidents/incidents are eliminated. 
  • Provide the engineering knowledge to the maintenance teams to drive equipment reliability.
  • Take oversight of the work on plant to ensure highest standards of maintenance are being met.
  • Write detailed job scopes to ensure maintenance planning is completed to the highest standard.
  • Provide the technical input to resolve plant problems with focus on understanding root cause of failures and implementing long term engineering solutions.

Our ideal candidate?
  • Will have a background in the process industries.
  • Is likely to hold a degree in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline or alternatively be educated to HNC level with a least 10 years relevant experience.

Contractors are paid weekly on submission of approved timesheets via Morson's online timesheet system.
