Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in GitHub, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), CMake, build systems, and software packaging. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience and hold both AWS Certified DevOps Engineer and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certifications. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure that supports our software development lifecycle, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Design and Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure to support development, testing, and production environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security.
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools and best practices.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce time to market.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
Build Systems and Software Packaging:
  • Utilize CMake and other build systems to manage and automate software builds.
  • Package software for various environments, ensuring compatibility and ease of deployment.
  • Implement and maintain version control practices for build artifacts and software packages.
Cloud and Container Management:
  • Leverage AWS services to design and manage cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, and others.
  • Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring efficient deployment and scaling of containerized applications.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams on CI/CD best practices and infrastructure management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, build systems, and software packaging.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
  • Proficiency with GitHub and experience in managing source code repositories.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Expertise in CMake and other build systems.
  • Experience with software packaging tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional cloud providers (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack).
