The role

It is a great time to join the repairs team at M&Y as there is a continually growing and diverse pipeline of work. In line with our 5-year growth plans, we are expanding our services and working with various clients across the North West so come and join our busy and thriving repairs and maintenance team.

Our repairs team is supported by our dedicated planners, supervisors and managers so you will be joining a great, supportive team with a high focus on values such as team work and high performance.

The purpose of this role is to complete all repair and improvement work safely, efficiently and to client satisfaction. You will also be required to communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers and customers and to perform other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by their manager.

The right fit

  • NVQ level 2 qualification in Plumbing (or equivalent).
  • You must have experience working in at least two of the following trades: Plumbing, Joinery, Groundwork, Roofing or Glazing. One of which must be Plumbing.
  • You must be able to work as part of a team.
  • You will have the ability to query jobs and liaise with office staff and managers.
  • You can plan and prioritise workload.
  • You will be working to deadlines and agreed targets so experience with this is desirable.
  • You must have a full awareness of relevant H&S requirements and considerations.
  • Experience of working with Housing Associations and managing repairs is desirable.
  • You deal with members of the public on a regular basis.
  • You will need a full UK driving license.
