As an AsphaltPlant Operator you will be at the forefront of our operationsensuring the production of highquality asphalt while maintainingthe highest standards of health and safety sustainability andefficiency. Requirements

YourRole:

  • MixingOperations:

    • Conductasphalt mixing to meet BSI:9001specifications.
    • Perform prestartinspections using our digitalsystem.
    • Identify record and reportany defective equipment.
    • Assistmaintenance teams in monitoring and maintainingequipment.
    • Utilize control systemsfor fixed plantoperations.

  • LoadingShovelOperations:

    • Completeand record prestartinspections.
    • Report defectiveequipment promptly.
    • Monitoraggregate stock levels and feed materials into theplant.
    • Drive safely according tosite transport plans.
    • Operatemachinery efficiently to minimize costs and environmentalimpact.

  • WeighbridgeOperations:

    • Managevehicle loading using the controlsystem.
    • Schedule materials forproduction.
    • Enter data into ourinternal management system.
    • Ensurevehicle compliance with safetyplans.
    • Handle phone calls to andfrom orderoffices.

Daily Tasks Ensure the safe and efficient operation of allequipment to meet or exceed company established Overall EquipmentEffectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations.Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment includingpower and control wiring, motors, controls, electronic devices, PLCs and building electrical maintenance. Troubleshoots PLC and otherelectronic systems. Able to troubleshoot and program machine logicsystems. Read and interpret schematics, parts manuals, blueprints,sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals. Evaluateproduction report comments prior to performing maintenance toensure all causes for production inefficiencies are addressed andcorrected. Perform building maintenance as directed by MaintenanceManager. Maintain sufficient records to support the ComputerizedMaintenance Management Software (EAM) including work orders andparts management. Responsible for active participation on plantteams and activities including safety, quality, sustainability,community involvement, OEE, maintenance, employee wellness,brainstorming and continuous improvement which are required tocreate and maintain a World Class environment. Operate PoweredIndustrial Truck, Boom Lift and Scissor Lift per OSHA regulationsrules and guidelines. Experience Needed A sense of urgency,accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivationand the desire and focus to improve the business. Qualifications inElectrical Engineering Experience with Mechanical Maintenance ortraining completed Experience with advanced skills in hydraulic,pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturingenvironment.
