Provide support and accountability for planning, controlling and improving quality and reliability for all Services within the region.  This includes services provided supplied to Vertiv Customers, directly by Vertiv Staff or Third parties. It is a Customer advocate regarding all services, systems, methods, processes, measures and issues.  Additionally, this role is responsible for implementing Systems, Processes, Policies and Procedures which will ensure an effective quality system that complies with Customer requirements, selected International and Industry Standards.

 

This position is an integral part of the business structure and ensures deployment of Customer Quality, Quality Management Systems and Product Compliance Systems within respective service organization and respective manufacturing plants (if applicable).

The Service Quality Engineer is an integral part of the service quality organization, the role helps to monitor, maintain, and improve the quality performance of 3 rd party service engineers working within Vertiv’s service sector.

The Service Quality Engineer’s other main roles will help to improve the customer experience through the continuous quality audit program of Vertiv’s service delivery personnel in project deployment, product servicing, and also the auditing of local suppliers to maintain and improve their quality performance. 

 

 

Responsibilities:  Please list at least 5 duties/accountabilities

 

  1. Service Quality

 

  1. Perform Internal audits within respective areas and report its progress.
  2. T rain and audit quality policies, standards, and procedures for respective manufacturing and service locations, sub-contracting (3rd party), and service activities.  Collaborate on improvement initiatives leading to high quality level products.
  3. Work with business leads to drive corrective actions for Service and Manufacturing related issues.
  4. Work with Cross-Functional team in the resolution of key quality issues and inquiries based on data
  5. Help and drive Continuous Quality Improvement of processes within respective areas.
  6. Propose Best practice sharing across region.
  7. Support the QMS Manager for the implementation / deployment and sustainment of Quality System
  8. Maintain documents of the Quality Management System.
  9. Participate in the Quality Management System reviews.

 

  1. Customer Quality

 

  1. Coordinate Customer audits, and its improvement actions

 

  1. Supplier Quality (in cooperation with the Market Unit and local Supply Chain)
    1. Support local Supply Chain by providing strategic quality support and expertise for supplier quality.
    2. Manage supplier claims processes within market unit in cooperation with local Supply Chain.
    3. In cooperation Service Quality Organization, implement and maintain common supplier quality documentation with local key suppliers.

 

  1. Reporting
    1. Provide monthly reporting for relevant Quality KPIs 

 

  1. Others
    1. Develop and maintain effective communication within the business
    2. Performs other duties and oversees special projects and assignments as may be assigned by management
    3. Follows procedures, rules and principles of Quality Management System,
    4. Respects principles of local and international VERTIV Trade Compliance procedures connected with all operations and business practices,
    5. Follows all rules of H&S and living environment protection defines by internal procedures or communicated during trainings,
    6.  Follows required actions to prevent all emergency situations and follows operation controls rules,
    7. Reports all accidents, occupation diseases and emergency situations (where applicable)

 

Education & Certifications:  Please note minimum and preferred requirements for education.  This includes degree, specializations and certifications.  

4 Year Degree, technical preferred

 

Requirements:  Please list all experience required to perform this job.  You may note some requirements as preferred.  
  • Preferred Engineering roles for at least 5 years
  • Fluent in English and desirable a second language. 
  • Certified internal.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Active knowledge of quality systems, tools and standards desired
  • Knowledge of Lean management
  • Intermediate to Advanced in MS Excel. 
  • Smartsheet user
  • Excellent problem solver; experience with 8D methodology and supporting tools
