We are looking for aSenior Site Technicianto support our structures and pavementsdepartment in Leicester.

Day to day you will becarrying out specialist insitu testing inspections and sampling ofStructures and Pavements. This can involve working in an array ofListed Bridges Iconic Buildings and pavement surveys to severalNational Highway assets. As part of your role at CTS you will beprovided with external training for working at height confinedspaces and enrolled into appropriate Health and Safetycourses.

As the role is working within a siteteam it is key that you are a good team player that can work wellwith other members of the team as well as an individual. Some ofthe areas we work in can be difficult so we would be looking forsomeone that is forward thinking and is motivated to get the workdone in a correct and safemanor.


CoreResponsibilities

Carrying outsite testing inspections and sampling

Responsibility for facilitating site works on specificprojects

Assisted mentoring of sitetechnicians and training of technicians asrequested

Ensuring that all testrecords submitted by the site team are complete and accurate and QCchecked before handing them to the ProjectManager.

Review of incoming client instructionsand inclusion of these into the contract review and put in placeany required actions.

Checking that equipment tobe used is within calibration functioning properly and fit foruse

Identification of any health and safetyconcerns to supervisor or senior site representative and completingonsite Dynamic Risk Assessments as appropriate

Ensuring work environment is maintained to suitable standardincluding cleaning and tidying

Ensuring sitesampling and testing is carried out to high standards of safetyquality and efficiency

Ensuring test equipmentis checked cleaned calibrated and functioningproperly

Having a professional persona whenrepresenting the company on site with clients andsuppliers

CSCS Card (Essential) however if you do not hold an up to date CSCScard CTS Group will organise for you to attend a CSCStest.

Jobspecifics

Monday Friday 40 hoursregular weekend/night work to be expected. Our projects can vary inlocations and scale so it will be expected that you stay away fromhome for different time scales depending on the project in hand.Your office base will be in Leicester but travel nationwide isrequired for the role.
