Job description

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic teacher looking for a new role? Step Teachers are working with a primary school that is committed to creating an excellent education, fantastic memories and an incredible school experience for all, to find a Year 1 Teacher to join their team in September 2024. The Year 1 Teacher should be passionate about teaching, and willing to instil that passion in the students.

Year 1 Teacher - Role:

  • Able to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school.
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Year 1 Teacher - Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Have recent experience as a Year 1 Teacher.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
