Role Description

Gardener Volunteers

Location: Sittingbourne (Kent)

Time commitment: 1-2 hours weekly/biweekly

We are looking for volunteers to help create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces for the people we support at our supported living service in Sittingbourne. We are looking for gardener volunteers to do weeding, pruning and planting in the outdoor spaces. If you have a passion for gardening and helping others, this is the perfect role for you

The garden is divided into sections and has a “secret garden” with a pond that we are hoping to rejuvenate with the help of our volunteers.

Our supported living service in Sittingbourne has a lovely, welcoming family feel with a very passionate team who are dedicated to their roles and the people we support. They are really looking forward to welcoming volunteers to the team Skills required  In order to become one of our gardener volunteers you will be: Knowledgeable about plants Confident using gardening equipment Punctual and reliable Friendly and approachable Please note that you will need to be  over the age of 18  in order to apply for this role. To ensure the safety of the people we support, we require a DBS check and two satisfactory references before a volunteer role is confirmed. As you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also be required to undertake safeguarding training, as well as any training which is specific to the role.
