Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with challenging behaviours, developing strategies to help them manage and improve behaviour.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to implement individualised learning and behavioural support plans.
  • Support children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring that they receive targeted interventions and holistic care.
  • Monitor and report on progress, adapting approaches to meet individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
  • Promote and model positive behaviour management techniques that align with our school values and ethos.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), especially with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and how to support the individual needs outlined within them.
  • A patient, compassionate approach, with excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, sharing best practices and strategies to support each child’s unique needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in Behavioural Support, Special Educational Needs, or a related field are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
