An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading providers of pet cremation services. Based in Paignton, we are now looking to recruit a Crematorium Supervisor to manage site operations and logistics ensuring compliance with waste regulations and company procedures.

Valley Pet & Equine Crematorium, provides pet owners the kindness, respect and dignity that they would wish to receive themselves, during what is a difficult time for many animal lovers.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Leading the team and ensure the staff are supported and encourage ongoing learning and development. Ensuring drivers are issued with collection/delivery notes daily. Ensuring details are correct and that the run sheets include the correct orders / individual cremation return details. Monitoring daily rounds and communicating instructions to staff. Monitoring & reporting of staff absence & holidays. Ensuring the site is kept clean and tidy at all times Completing site checks in line with Health & Safety Ensuring and recording staff use of correct PPE (e.g. High Visibility coat; uniform; safety footwear; protective gloves) Compiling rotas and optimising vehicle routes. Recording all incoming waste including type & weight (in line with applicable regulations & Company Policy.) Ensuring collection drivers adhere to clients' site rules (E.g. speed restrictions, parking, access to buildings) Working cross functionally with other departments. Ensuring that all waste collected is consistent with the waste description on the Waste Transfer Note / Hazardous Waste Consignment Note.

Ideal requirements include (training provided):

Knowledge of relevant legislation. Experience of waste transfer treatment facility. Experience of logistics and route planning Experience of management of staff.

In addition to a salary of £27, you will receive a range of benefits including:
