Job Details

We are looking for a Hospitality Coordinator join the School Meal Development Team based at Bankhead, Glenrothes.

This diverse and varied role can vary from day to day and requires exemplary organisational skills, a collaborative Teamwork approach along with flexibility. 

It is essential you have experience knowledge and familiarity of software packages to analyse menus and adhere to compliance with School Food Regulations. For example, Saffron.

Cashless Catering and Primary Pre-order systems require daily management, including resolution of queries and investigation and reporting of faults.

Appropriate food service knowledge to address any non-compliance.

We have a permanent vacancy working 36 hours per week Monday to Friday – 7.12 hours per day as required. 

Occasional on call evening and weekend work may be required. 

You will earn a competitive salary of £31,179.34 to £38,950.71and have access to a range of benefits, including:

A starting salary of £31,179.34 , plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends. Travel expenses will be paid – we pay 45 pence per mile to staff using their own car. This post involves liaising with Government bodies and business partners including collaboration with young people, UK local authorities, public Menu development and Nutritional analysis in relation to Scottish School Meals.

The Person

Level 3 Award in Nutrition.

Management qualification

Budgetary Awareness, Numeracy, and Literacy skills are essential for this position.

Ability to travel at short notice to other Fife Council establishments.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
