Secondary School Supply Teacher

Location: Grimsby

Pay Scale: £140 - £180 per day

Contract: Part-Time

Start: September 2024

Are you a dynamic and versatile educator, ready to take on the exciting challenge of being a Secondary School Supply Teacher? We have an excellent opportunity for you to join our team at a large Secondary School in Grimsby. GSL Education is seeking experienced and dynamic Supply Teachers to work, requiring reliable and adaptable individuals who can cover lessons across different subject areas in the absence of their permanent staff.

The Role:

As a Secondary School Supply Teacher, you will have the unique opportunity to step into various classrooms and inspire students with your passion for education. Your adaptability and enthusiasm will be instrumental in ensuring the continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers.

As a Secondary School Supply Teacher, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to a high standard, using a range of teaching strategies and techniques to facilitate learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring as well as maintaining a positive and productive learning environment for all students.
  • Support students in their academic progress, providing guidance and encouragement to help them achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with school staff to familiarize yourself with lesson plans and resources, adapting them as needed to suit the needs of the students.
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures and maintain accurate records of attendance and progress.
  • Be a positive role model for students, demonstrating a commitment to learning and a passion for education.

Requirements for a Secondary School Supply Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in teaching at secondary level.
  • Versatility and adaptability, able to confidently teach a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for education, inspiring students to engage with their learning journey.
  • Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work at short notice.
