Applications are invited from an enthusiastic, motivated person to join an established multi-disciplinary clinical trials team, based in the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. The team form part of the Clinical Infection Research Group (CIRG) that participates in clinical infection research across NHS Lothian this includes clinical trials in vaccines, Microbiology, sexual health and covid-19.

The post holder will assist with the general administrative requirements associated with study set up, running and closing of a clinical trial including data collection, data entry maintenance of essential documents. All work undertaken in the Department, is in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP) to ensure provision of high-quality care.

The role is predominately administrative but clinical work will also be required.

The post holder will assist with the delivery of direct and indirect clinical research care and sample processing support for research studies.
