PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The role will form part of the finance team to provide valuable and flexible support in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The area of support will be our Operations part of our business which looks at the processing and management of primary, secondary & recycled materials. To provide an effective financial support and control environment to the GRS Integrated Solutions business, and accurate and timely accounting and reporting service to the operational businesses.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties are many and varied, but the list below is considered to be the basic requirement:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for, including posting all accruals / prepayments, inter company reconciliations and postings in line with month end deadlines.
- Day to day management & development of staff members and regular 1-2-1's..
- Working closely with the operational team to ensure accuracy & timeliness of the month end accounts.
- Variance analysis against budget and forecasts as well as explanation.
- Supporting the rolling forecasting and budgeting process
- Support the preparation of BU monthly reporting packs end to end, along with presenting results to BU Financial Controller and MD.
- Support the business development team in developing business cases for potential future projects.
- Weekly reporting requirements to internal and external stakeholders
- Own the balance sheet reconciliation & reporting process.
- Support the annual audit and tax process with timely and accurate information.
- Any other ad-hoc reporting as required.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a part of a team and develop strong working relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good excel skills.
- CIMA/ACCA qualified.
