For BWGM, Binnies are looking for an Electrician to join the team in Maresfield. The overall purpose of the role is to deliver electrical installation works including testing & commissioning activities within the business. As an Electrician, you will undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. 

As an electrician your main duties are as below: 

• Maintain, repair and install electrical equipment for Clients sites. 

• Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find and rectify problems on a variety of electrical issues. 

• Deliver electrical construction to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix. 

• Deliver electrical compliance to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix. 

• Deliver electrical control to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix. 

• Demonstrate an understanding of current electrical regulations to BS7671. 

• Demonstrate an understanding & construction skill base of current WIMES Specifications. 

• Demonstrate an ability to modify existing LV Switchgear panels as required. 

• Complete & input into the required NICEIC Certification. 

• Demonstrate an ability to work with the clients Telemetry Team / Capability to perform end to end checking / testing of various signals into the Telemetry Unit. 

• Interpret RAMS and prepare daily briefings. 

• Deliver electrical isolations & process instructions in accordance with the bWGM Electrical Safety Rules (ESR). 

• Demonstrate proactive and empowered decision making. 

• Review electrical design documentation. 

• Complete any instructed onsite design changes and completion of red-line mark-ups of “As-built” drawings. 

• Be prepared to work onsite and travel to and from site. 

• Mentor electrical sub-contractors where required. 

Knowledge/Experience

• SVQ Level 3 Electrical. 

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship. 

• 17th Edition Wiring Regulations as a minimum. 18th Edition preferred. 

• ECS Card. 

• Water hygiene card. 

• First Aid Trained. 

• Confined Space Trained. 

• Knowledge and understanding of electrical construction to WIMES Specification. 

• Knowledge of safe systems of work. 

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. 

• Experience of wastewater industry is desirable. 

• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
