Brentford FC Community SportsTrust (BFCCST) an awardwinning independent charity in partnershipwith Premier League Brentford Football Club is seeking 23 newTrustees to join our dynamicBoard.

Role:BrentfordFC Community Sports Trust Trustee(x3)

Term:3 years (Renewable for up to 9years)

TimeCommitment:12 days per month on average.

Trustees will be expected to attend at least 4inperson Board meetings per year. Plus at least 4 sub groupmeetings and 2/3 Strategy Days per annum as well as visitingprogrammes in action that the Board delivers and attending bimonthly events. Depending on the skill set offered by individualsTrustees will also have regular additional meetings with Officersin specialist areas to help shapestrategy.

Remuneration

Thisis an unpaid role but reasonable expenses incurred are refundablein accordance with BFCCSTs Trustee Expensespolicy.

The Trusts aim is to use the power of sportto engage inspire and empower people in west London by providingopportunities to take part in programmes and activities therebyimproving physical and mental wellbeing increasing engagement ineducation and training and enabling people of all ages to realisetheir potential. The Trusts annual income has grown to over4 million. Independent assessment of the social impact delivered inrecent years has shown a social value in the most recent annualreporting period to March 2023 of over 70million.

We now face increasing challenges aswe:

  • develop and manage a wide range offacilities
  • deepen ourprogressive and socially inclusive programmes in sportsparticipation health and wellbeing education employability youthwork and communityengagement
  • widen our reachacross communities to the west ofLondon
  • establish a tradingsubsidiary

As we prepare for thefuture we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Boardof Trustees bringing fresh perspectives and strengthening ourstrategic direction to continue delivering substantial socialimpact.

Looking aheadto the next three years three of the current nine Trusteesincluding the Chair will be retiring after many years of dedicatedservice.

The BFCCST Board is therefore aiming torecruit new Trustees to strengthen its range of skills andexperience. In line with its Inclusion policy the Board is keen towiden and increase the participation of members from diverse localcommunities and encourage younger people with the relevant skillsand expertise to join the Board as it enters this exciting periodof evolution and change.

SafeguardingStatement

  • To build and maintain good workingrelationships both internally and externally maintaining aprofessional image at all times when representing Brentford FCCommunity Sports Trust
  • To keep confidential anyinformation gained regarding the Trust and itspersonnel
  • To maintain a flexible approach towork at alltimes.
