Your new role
As a Product Engineer will involve developing and maintaining product specifications that accurately reflect customer requirements and the company’s manufacturing capabilities. You will design and purchase job-specific tooling, ensuring complete and accurate records of product specification history. Your responsibilities will include acting as a safety leader, adhering to all corporate and site Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Procedures, and reviewing new product requests to determine the most efficient manufacturing routes. You will also be responsible for translating customer-supplied information into the company’s specification format using AutoCAD, maintaining organized customer master files, and generating internal product specifications in SAP. Additionally, you will design, order, and issue job-specific tooling, control design advancements, manage change requests, and participate in new business development projects. Your role will require analytical skills to resolve manufacturing issues promptly and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
is a degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a relevant discipline, along with experience in AutoCAD and a strong background in Microsoft computer software. You should have a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant design and development experience. Your ability to interpret and control customer-supplied specifications, develop product specifications, and communicate effectively with customers will be crucial. You will also need to demonstrate sound engineering practices for design improvement and issue resolution, participate in customer audits, and contribute to continuous improvement and special projects.
