Our client has an excitingopportunity for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their teambased in Banbury Oxfordshire. You will be joining on a fulltimebasis (37.5 hr per week) and in return you will receive acompetitive salary plus great company benefits

Purposeof theRole

Toprovide highquality audit accounting and related client services toclients in the Corporate Services team and to contribute to thedevelopment of the practice under minimalsupervision.

Responsibilities

  • Tosupport partners and managers in the Corporate Department todeliver quality service to clients with compliance and planningmatters.
  • To be able tomanage and deliver ad hoc projects andassignments
  • Review and prepareclient accounts tax or VATbased work from information supplied byclients to the requiredstandards
  • Undertake remunerationplanning exercises
  • Complete andsupervise Audit assignments at a client site orremotely
  • Assist with higherleveltechnical client audit accounts and taxation compliance work forcorporate clients.
  • Identify pointsfor Partner to raise with clients and to raise potential areas foradditional services including added value services andadvice
  • Finalize paperwork fordispatch to clients and HMRC in a timely manner meeting requireddeadlines and quality
  • Liaise withclients to obtain relevant information for their accounts actingproactively and ensuring attention to details and effectivequestioning of client
  • Monitor ownjob quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets meeting thesetargets and exceeding wherepossible
  • Record your own chargeabletime and ensure maximumrecovery
  • Support trainees byproviding onthejob coaching and supervision and review of traineeassignments
  • Attend courses that areappropriate to the job role
  • Useappropriate support networks to clarify knowledge on complexqueries such as CCH or softwarevendors
  • Review and depending on thesize of the assignment prepare client tax returns based oninformation supplied by the client advise on tax payable andpayment dates and meet deadlines in line with the firm sstandards.
  • Assisting clients withaccounts software and other queries asrequired.
  • Involvement in clientseminars including attendance and set up whererequired
  • Involvement in networkingand business generation under the guidance of more senior teammembers.

Requirements

QualificationsRequired
  • Essential:ACA orACCAqualified
  • Desirable:Degree or equivalentexperience

ExperienceRequired
  • Essential:Minimum of 2 years of proven accounts experience within a practiceenvironment
  • Desirable:Experience with cloud accounting software such asXero

Workoutside normal hours as required:
Standard contract is37.5 hours a week 7.5 hours 5 days. 5 hours each day must be workedbetween 8.305 and the rest can beflexed.
