About the role:

We are looking for a Training Coordinator to join our Hospitality Department. As Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in the success of the college through:

Curriculum Design and Development : Assist with designing and developing the curriculum. Learning Resources Production : Help create learning materials. Catering and Hospitality Sessions : Plan, deliver, and assess sessions related to catering and hospitality, ensuring up-to-date instruction. Learner Supervision : Supervise learners in kitchens and restaurants, including commercial sessions. Progress Monitoring and Assessment : Monitor learner progress and conduct competence-based assessments.

About you:

Essential

Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a Catering or Hospitality discipline Good level of education to include maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent (level 2) Good practical experience of recent industrial/commercial employment Demonstrable knowledge of Equality and Diversity Experience and skills of training and demonstrating Good organisational skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Able to work evenings as required to support in commercial restaurant sessions Hold a driving license

Hold or be willing to work towards the Assessor Award Hold or be willing to work towards an Internal Verifier Award Hold or willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification Understanding of Child and Vulnerable Adult protection (Safeguarding Agenda) and the willingness to increase knowledge

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
